History

Built in 1938, Leeway is an authentic log cabin, yet has many modern creature comforts with the upgrades that have been made over the years.  Originally, Leeway had no running water or electricity and only had an outhouse!  Today, there is a fully functional kitchen and bathroom with brand new well system and septic system.  Heat is provided through the beautiful stone fireplace and / or gas heater.  We provide all dishes, cookware and linens but you will need to bring your own towels.  There is a gas grill on the deck, your own private dock area and row boat. Also available is a raft for swimming, a canoe and three kayaks.  The property includes 225 feet of lakefront which is shared with our sister cabin “Arcadia” (currently used only for family).  Most of the boats are stored at Arcadia’s dock area because there is more room there but you have full access to all boats any time day or night.  This is an ideal vacation rental for families.
